Max Fletcher

Max Fletcher is a Lutenist, Guitarist, and Singer who specializes in music from the Medieval and Renaissance periods

Max began with the Electric Guitar playing jazz, blues, and metal before becoming interested in the Classical Guitar as a young teenager. Max’s formal musical education began at the New England Conservatory, where he studied Guitar Performance with Eliot Fisk and Joe Morris, and Composition with Stratis Minakakis and Davide Ianni.

Upon graduating Max began to immerse himself in the study of Medieval and Renaissance musical practice, learning to play the lute and to sing. Max is also an active researcher, and plans to pursue his Graduate studies in Musicology with a focus on Renaissance Counterpoint Pedagogy.

Max has performed internationally in concerts and masterclasses with esteemed guitarists such as Eliot Fisk, Leo Brouwer, Eduardo Fernandez, Jorge Caballero, Jesus Serrano, Grisha Goryachev, Zaira Meneses, Enrique Salmeron, and Senio Diaz.
